During the debut of the story, the reader would view that the nucleotide of the story is the power of hate, but through digest they would realize that the true theme is the contribution that the mood, setting, and structure race in creating tensity in all aspects of the story.\nFirstly, the mood realises tension in the story. In fact, a negative mood is created at the beginning of the story . The author increase this negative mood by using a earnest and morbid style of piece which lacked humor and irony.\nSecondly, the structure likewise creates tension in the story. By the use of small precise sentences, the author gives the reader express mail information. This is a good proficiency because it can even create tension inside the readers genius that is trying to reflect on what is happening. Gabriel Marquez did not give the Mayor both name, just a title! There is no need to name the Mayor since he is recognized by his title and his attitude, he is the top-flight man with power and ammunition and he could be any Latin American in the 1960s with power and superiority.
